Thrivent Builds

Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity may be the most recent chapter in the ongoing relationship between the two organizations, but both have been working side-by-side with volunteers and homeowners for more than a decade, creating decent, affordable housing for those hoping to enter the economic mainstream.

Since 1991, Thrivent Financial and Habitat together built 500 homes. And with Thrivent Builds, the goal is to build up to 500 homes per year in the near future with Thrivent Financial members, Lutheran congregations and other volunteers around the United States and around the world.

Thrivent Builds Homes is the first of a 4-part program. Seventy percent of each local home’s cost will be paid by Thrivent Financial with 20 percent raised by the Habitat for Humanity local affiliate, and 10 percent raised by the chapter. Are you ready to help recruit volunteers, organize fund-raisers or pound nails? The goal is for 50 percent of the volunteer workers to be Lutheran and for 25 percent to be Thrivent Financial members.
